Consultation responses

By Rhona Parry

Phew... I'm starting to know what Valentine's Day should feel like... we've been inundated with letters, cards and emails responding to the PSB Review. With over 230 responses received at the last count, we're going to have our work cut out over the coming days and weeks as we review them all. But rest assured they will all be read by a number of people in the team, and we'll do our best job of taking on board the concerns and issues they raise in the next phase of our analysis.

So thanks to everyone who has taken the time to respond - it's very much appreciated and will really help our thinking.

What's this blog for?

This blog is a trial, aimed at engaging a broader range of people in the debate about the future of Public Service Broadcasting in the UK.

Ofcom is required by Parliament to review and recommend ways to strengthen and maintain public service broadcasting at least every five years.

In September 2007, Ofcom commenced its second review of public service broadcasting. On 25 September 2008, we published the second phase of that analysis, which will be open for consultation until 4 December. This follows the first consultation which was published in April 2008.

If you're short of time, you can read an online version of the executive summary of Phase 2.
